Hi, hello & how are you doing?   I joined another swap, but this time my sister & I know who each other are.  We only do 1 swap too.  We are supposed to only send 2 items, either cards, 3D or a mix of both.   My swap sister is in the USA & I posted off her parcel early last week.  This is what was in it

September 2009

Ever since Leonie showed me how to decorate paper bags I LOVE doing it.  I have covered the front & back of a brown paper bag here & inside I put the handcream, soap & little cards in their slip.  I am really please with how it turned out too :)

All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Stamps:  Inspired by Nature, Say it with Scallops, Lovely Labels

Ink:  Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Going Grey, Basic Grey (re-inkers for colouring the flower)

Cardstock/DSP:  Urban Garden, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey

Accessories:  Grey Taffeta, Kiwi Kiss  & Baja Breeze Double Striped Grosgrain Ribbons, Aquapainter,

With the flower on the card & the front of the bag I used my re-inkers & Aquapainter to colour directly onto the rubber, then stamped it.  It sort of gives it a bit of a watercolour effect (& yes I know it is cheating, but I have told you in the past how useless I am at colouring…:) )

This is the second item I sent to her

September 2009 gift 2

This is a rectangle wallet that Makeesha very kindly shared the tutorial on her blog here

This is what was in it

September 2009 gift 2 inside
I really hope my swap sister enjoys her package :)

I have to dash now so I will catch up with you soon

Happy Tuesday to you ,  I hope you have had a wonderful day today.  I am quite happy with what I have achieved.  I did a load of washing, cooked a batch of pumpkin scones, a batch of cupcakes & loaf of bread.  With my cooking I am experimenting with some flour made from Lupins.  We grow lupins here as a rotational crop with our wheat.  Robby is involved with a group of other farmers who are trying to get Lupin Flour up & running for human consumption.  It is happening slowly but it is gettting there.  If you are interested in finding out about lupin flour you can visit the Irwin Valley website here

Ok so I also got to sit & stamp today,  I was catching up on some birthday cards I have been trying to make & this is one that I made.  I am not totally convinced on it becuase I don’t use Cameo Coral very often, but I was inspired by the Walk in the Park dsp.  So here is the card

Cameo Coral Friends card

and here is a close-up of the butterfly

Cameo Coral Friends card butterfly

The butterfly has been covered with Clear Embossing powder & Dazzling Diamonds, I also added some 1/2 pearls to the middle of the butterfly.  I have seen a few examples of these types of butterflies & love the effect.

All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Stamp Set: Sanded,  Friends 24-7,   Great Friend & Soft Summer

Ink:  Cameo Coral,  Baja Breeze, Versamark, Basic Grey (marker)

Cardstock:  Cameo Coral,  Basic Grey, Whisper White, Baja Breeze

Accessories:  White taffeta ribbon,  Clear embossing powder, Dazzling Diamonds, White Embossing Powder, Paper piercer, cutter kit (distressing tool), 1/2 White pearls (from the Pretties kit)

I have a few other creations I have made recently that I am really keen to show you so keep an eye on this space :)

Till next time……..keep smiling :D

Hi there everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful day today :)

This week has just flown by & I can’t believe we are at the middle of the week.  I went into Geraldton & had some retail therapy on Monday & stamped for alot of Tuesday, today is full of housework & I really do want to do another couple of projects to show you, but …….. I thought I’d just let you know there won’t be much up here for a few days.

At Mingenew we have an event called the Mingnew Expo.  This is a farm realted show of most machinery & farm realted things.  There are a few things for the kids & women to look at, but not alot.  Anyway it goes for 2 days & is the ritual of going for both those days :)

Thursday I am helping out in the kitchen & then we will pick up the kids to take them to the show to join in on the fun & BBQ tea & watch the fireworks :)

Friday the kids have the day off school, so they can all join in on the fun at the show (they exchange this day for one earlier in the year).

So as much as I would love to show you a project or 2 I don’t know that I’ll have the time to upload some pics etc…… so I promise I will be back next week with some exciting new things I have been working on.

I will soon be able to show you the things I have made to send to my secret sister……..it’s getting closer now & I’m so excited ;)

Till next week, have a wonderful weekend & take care

TanyaBlogSig

Good day to you, today I have something to show you that I actually made, I know shocl horror….lol.  It was a little while ago, but I had a friend in hospital that  I made this to give to her so she could fill in some time while waiting to be discharged.  Unfortunately this is while my kids were sick a little while ago & I didn’t get to give it to her while she was in hospital, but I did give it to her.  I love using these bags, they are so versataile & you could either cover them entirely or you can just use them like this as I have.

Paper bag gift package

You can see here how these bags can be left natural & you can see through the window.  Inside I included some card & stamped images to make some cards etc….

Paper bag gift package - tin of goodies

This is the first time I have used Fifth avenue Floral & I must get back to it because I was very please with how this turned out.  Inside this little tin is some embellishments etc, all to go with the cards.

If you would like to know any details on which colours etc i have used just drop me a line & I’ll fill you in on all the deets. :)

Thanks for calling by & having a look, till next time……..keep smiling :)

Hi ho, I hope you had a fantastic weekend.  We did but I won’t bore you with all that information, today it is a short post, it isn’t the quantity that counts, it’st he quality & belive me there is quality here :)

August gift

Here my secret sister covered a wooden box with some Sweet Always dsp & then made a belly band to go around a tube of shower gel & the darling said she hoped it wouldn’t be too strong for me (I can’t handle strong scents, they make me quite ill) & guess what I can handle it….YIPPEE!!!!!! & some chocies in the scallop circles, I haven’t tried them yet, but I am going to & will let you know what I think.  It is lovely THANKYOU :)

August gift close up

Here is a close up of the chipboard birdie that is the feature on this side of the box unfortunatley I haven’t yet taken a pic of the back, but it has more birds that have been stamped & cut out & adhered to the back of the box……but wait there is still more

Friday is a wonderful day of the week,  I love it sooo much, it means no routine for a day or two ;)

This weekend is a busy one for us.  We are having one of the girls’  friends sleeping over tonight & then we are off to Geraldton tomorrow for a MacDonalds treat, it was Maddi’s 7th birthday a couple of weeks ago & in our house when the kdis turn 7 they are allowed to have a friend sleep over for the first time, so this is Maddi’s first sleepover  & she is very much looking forward to it.  So the Maccas trip is part of it all.  While we are in Geraldton we are going to go to the Great Moscow Circus that is in town atm, & the kids are really looking forward to that :)

So today I am going to show you the parcel I received in the mail from my secret sister.  i was spoilt with a new pair of Stampin’ Up! paper snips & they have a GORGEOUS ribbon taggy thing on them, I’m sorry for the explanation but I can’t for the life of me think of the correct terminology…..lol :(

Hi & happy Tuesday to you.  I hope this is a wonderful day for you.  I organised this post on Sunday night while watching Australian Idol, so I don’t know what I am doing, but I know I am planning on stamping today :)

Here we go again with some more cards……………………..this whole post is dedicated to a WONDERFUL lady names Christine Healey. I’m not sure if I have told you about my relationship with Christine, but I’ll briefly fill you in.  I signed up to Stampin’ Up! in May of 2007 & in December I signed up to a demonstrator Kris Kringle swap, being that I made a gift & sent to a fellow demonstrator & someone sent one to me.  I was lucky enough to receive Christine as the person I was to make for.  I made a concertina card holder folder with some cards in it & she LOVED it.  I was so chuffed to hear from her with all her encouragement & excitement for what she had received.  Since then we have kept in touch on & off.  So when I signed up to a demonstrator chat group & I saw that Christine was on there I was quite excited.  Christine has been involved with the Cyberstamps & chats I have organised  & I have a few chats with her, which have been wonderful :)

So that was wonderful wasn’t it ?!  ;)

Christine is a wonderful paper crafter, I truly admire her work & love the friendship we have.
