Hi again :)

First thing I am going to show you is a photo I took yesterday

rain-june-24th

YIPPEE you guessed it ……it rained here yesterday & it was a really nice heavy soaking rain.  So the title of Happy Day is stating what it was for us yesterday &  yes there are the biggest grins on this farm at the moment :D

This is a photo of our gutters overflowing.  It is really funny because when we built our house, alot of people told us we were silly for having 4metre verandahs & there is no way the rain would ever hit the walls…..hahahaha  When the wind blows & the rain falls it goes EVERYWHERE.  So the lovely clean windows I had On Tuesday night weren’t so clean last night, (they weren’t too bad tho).  I love our wide verandahs’, but that’s not what I am meant to be talking to you about so I will get onto showing you a craft creation :)

On Friday night I was doing some blurfing &when I came across this creation of Chantelle’s I knew I just had to give it a go.  This is what I came up with

12x12-foldout-scrap-page This is a 12×12 scrap page folded into 1/4′s  & into a little booky thingy :)

This is apparently one of the projects completed at Convention this year .

Now below is what it looks like opened up

All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Stamp Set:  Flight of the Butterfly,  Lovely Labels,  Baroque Motifs

Ink:  barely Banana,  Pretty In Pink

Cardstock:  Pretty In Pink,  Barely Banana,  Washington Apple dsp, Whisper White

Accessories:  Aluminium circle metal edge tag,  Assortment Clips,  Pretty in Pink striped grosgrain ribbon,  Scallop edge Punch,  1 3/8″Circle punch,  Heart to Heart punch, Linen thread,  paper piercer & mat pack,  Stampin’ Sponges,  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Various buttons (not SU)

There are a couple of other pages that I haven’t put anything on because I ran out of Barely Banana (oh no!) & when my order turns up I will be adding some more card because this could hold up to 6 photos in total if you want.  It was so super easy,  this will be a fantastic BRAG BOOK to give to the kids’ grandparents for Christmas (one page for each of the kids, sweeeeet).

Well this post has – believe it or not – taken me 2 1/2 hours to do, between phonecalls, a drive down the paddock & lunch for hubby & I.  It is now time to go & pick up the kids, so no stamping done yet again :(    Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Till next time………keep smiling  (we are becuase it looks like the rain is going to hang around……yeah)  :D

Hi everyone,  just thought I’d pop in here & let you know that I haven’t disappeared off the face of the earth :)

Well so much for posting on Monday.  On Saturday Tom & I went into his room to clean & tidy, it didn’t take too long, but then I went into the spare bathroom & did some sorting in there & then it was night time & I was tired, so went to bed early.

Sunday morning I thought oh we can go into Ebony’s room & sort that one out, we did & then folded the washing & then hung out a load of washing then went for a FABULOUS family drive into the countryside,  we haven’t done that for so long…….It was fantastic.  We came home, had dinner & I went to bed, yet again early (wow my body won’t know what has hit it…lol)

Monday I went to Geraldton to do some shopping,  I had a very nice time & a lovely coffee :D

Tuesday a friend came up & helped me tidy Maddison’s room (I needed  reinforcements to attack that one ……LOL,  well I thought so anyway but it wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated, then  we tidied the games room & washed the windows & I was flaked that night.

Wednesday came & Tom wasn’t feeling well so he stayed home from school.  He wasn’t too sick, but enough to stay home just incase he spilled the contents of his stomach on the bus or floor at school……..Anyway becuiase he wasn’t that sick he wanted to play on the XBOX, so guess who ended up playing on the XBOX so he could watch & then bash the boxes…….LOL

And now it is Thursday & as you can tell by all my jibber jabber I haven’t had a chance to stamp.  I did whip up someting on Friday night so I will be back this afternoon with that to show you & hopefully I will get some stamping done today (although I have just remembered I have some farm business stuff to deal with today too, but I’ll try real hard to make something )

I will be back as soon as I have had some brekky & I have started up “MY” computer (am on hubby’s atm).

Till then

Hi again,  wow 3 posts not only in 1 day but in one morning (well for me in WA anyway)

The other day I went to the post office & opened my letter box to see one of those cards in it that says you have a parcel…….i wasn’t expecting anything so I was a bit excited because this means a surprise, woudl it be for the kids, Robby or me?????   Yup you guessed it, it was for me *huge grin*  Well I got the parcel & opened it up in the car.  WOW I was speechless, it was from a very lovely lady named Christine Healey.

I have known of Christine for a little while because I participated in a santa swap with some other Stampin’  Up! demonstrators & Christine was to be my recipient.  I made her a card expanding folder & she loved it.  Our contact has come & gone since then & when I hosted the Unconventional Cyberstamp for those of us hat couldn’t make it to convention Christine was one that joined in.  She made some fabulous work…inbetween a fair & demonstration (I think, please correct me if I am wrong Christine).

Anyway this is what was in the parcel Christine sent me

christine-healeys-rak-outsidechristine-healeys-rak-inside

How sweet is this!!!!  Christine has used the retired dsp Holiday Harmony (which I started to like once it was near the end of the mini in 2008…lol) along with the gorgeous retired Purely Pomegranate & River Rock.  To add a  little extra stamping she has stamped the swirl from Ocean Commotion in Purely Pomegranate & Jombo eyelets would have to be one of my fave embellishments, along with ribbon :)

The notepad has a backing of River Rock & the back of the folder has the Holiday Harmony paper on it too.

This is the tag that Christine included with it

christine-healeys-rak-tag The tag is made using Bella Rose dsp with a Riding Hood Red Square Scallop, Flet Fusion flower & Rhinestone brad at the top…..SPOOFY :D

On the Whisper White she has stamped the Bella Bloom (I think) wheel in Pink Pirouette & the greeting is from Best Yet in Kiwi Kiss.

This is just so GORGEOUS,  I don’t want to use it because then it will be all gone :(     But then again I do want to use it because that is what it is for…..oh what a predicament (lol)

I want to say THANKYOU so very much Christine for making me smile.

Well that’s it from me for today & I won’t be posting tomorrow, but hopefully I will have something up on Monday.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, till next time……keep smiling :D

Good morning isn’t is just wonderful :)     Well it is here because it is Saturday & that means no school lunches,  no rushing to the bus & no having to get the kdis to bed early, so life is a bit more relaxed…….& I LOVE IT :D

I have been so lucky recently to receive some things in the mail.  It is just so nice to open the letter box & see a hand written envelope & one with stamps on it too *vvbg*  So I have a couple of cards to show you & then I will have something else up a little later today  (I haven’t downloaded them yet)

This first card is from a gorgeous lady named Andrea.  I sent Andrea a birthday card earlier in the year & she was so taken by the fact that someone she doesn’t know would send her a card :)       I think that is one of the best things about being a Stampin’  Up! demonstrator,  it gives you the opportunity to conenct with others who have an addiction like you (lol) & people who can appreciate your work.   So since I sent Andrea her card, we have kept in touch via our blogs & e-mail & phone, I love to have a good old chat on the phone….hehehe.

This card is so super sweet, how cute, a little girl looking out her window & a birdy sits on the window sill.  I don’t have this set so it was very nice to see it “irl”  & pink & green, you can NEVER go wrong

Thank you so much Andrea,  I truly treasure our friendship & hope it carries on for years to come :D

This second card is from a lovely lady named Janine Rudder (I can’t seem to find a blog for her but if I do I will add it in here)

Janine also had a birthday earlier in the year & I sent her a card for it, she sent this one back saying Thankyou for thinking of her.  She has also had a busy busy life of late & didn’t have the opportunity to celebrate her birthday when it was so has delayed it to later in the year……..& my birthday card brightened her day.  How nice is that, it makes me all warm & gooey inside to know that someone smiled when they opened the mail :D

janine-rudder-thankyou-card

Isn’t this card just gorgeous :D

Janine has very cleverly cut the flowers out of the Urban Garden dsp & adhered them.

These take pride of place on my desk, I look at them & am reminded how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life.

Well I am off to organise morning tea for my family & I will be back soon with something else I received in the mail.

See you…..  :)

Hi,  I was planning on getting these up a little earlier yesterday, but it just didn’t happen.    Anyway Thursday was such a perfect day.  I had the best day I have had in quite a while; not that my other days have been bad, this one was just extremely good! :)

In my post on Thursday I said I was going to pick up the kids & spend the afternoon in the back yard with them, well we came home from school & Tom & Maddi said they wanted to ride their bikes.  We are lucky enough to have 4m veranadahs all the way around our house so the kids can go round & round even if it is stinking hot or pouring with rain :)

Tom has only just had his trainer wheels taken off his bike, so he is super proud of that & thinks he is hot stuff riding his John Deere bike with no trainer wheels (oh to be young again lol).  He has had them taken off before but wasn’t brave enough to take off by himself & asked for them to be put back on,  this time it is for real.  So he got on his bike & went round the verandah & then Maddi asked me to take her trainer wheels off, she is the same as in having them taken off before but then she had an accident & wanted the wheels back on.  So yesterday I took them off & then she took off :)       I wasn’t totally surprised by her because she has had a go at Tom’s bike & she knew she woudl be ok.  Well now at the end of a  long story (lol) I thought I’d show you a couple of pics of the kids on their bikes with no trainer wheels

tom-with-no-trainers1

You can see by the look on his face how proud is,  it is so precious :D

maddi-with-no-trainers & Maddi is just as proud :)

I’ll be back soon with some things I have received int he mail recently.

Chat soon

Hi there, I hope you are having a fantabulous day today.  Here on the farm it is absolutegly GORGEOUS.  The weather is fine, the wind isn’t blowing & even though we need some rain, the crops are growing nicely.  I plan on taking some photos of the crop when it grown a little more (atm you can’t tell the crop for the weeds…lol).  I also want to show you the sprayer we use to spray out the weeds,  the kids call it the GRASSHOPPER :)

Well a little while ago I was visiting my friend Lou’s blog when I saw that she had made a very cute little tote & she said she had put some cards in it to give to a friend.  Right then & there I knew I had to have a go at making one of these :)

So I started when I first saw Lou’s &  like a few other things it got put on the “to finish” pile.  Yesterday I thought if the only thing i achieve today is to finish it then so be it……& guess what, it was the only thing I achieved….lol.  I wasn’t expecting much more as I have had ebony (my second daughter) home for a couple of days with a tummy bug & she has been eating well, but just not being able to keep it down :(

So here’s what I came up with

tangerine-tango-card-toteThis wasa very challenging project for me to do because I just don’t DO ORANGE,…..lol  It was something I set for myself to complete & to be honest with you i’m not that keen on the Haiku dsp either, but it was so nice to make it & finish it knowing how much trouble I had looking at it….  :P

All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Stamp sets:  Good friend,  Cheep Talk, On your Birthday

Ink:  Tangerine Tango, Choc Chip, More Mustard, Old Olive,

Cardstock:  Tangerine Tango,  Old Olive, More Mustard,  Very Vanilla, Haiku dsp

Here’s a pic of it opened

I have made 4 cards to go in it.  They are all the same, here’s what they look like

tangerine-tango-card-tote-with-card

I really am quite chuffed with how it turned out……maybe the Tangerine Tango is warming to me……LOL :D

The tutorial for this originally came from Liam Pucher, thanks liam  for sharing this :)

I’m off to go get the kids from school & then spend a lovely afternoon with them in the backyard.

Thanks for stopping by, I really do appreciate it :)

Have a great day & chat soon……..till then , keep smiling :D

Hi, hello & happy Tuesday

I hope you are having a superb day today.  I would lvoe to talk about the weather, but I think what I have to say about it will make my hubby very very SAD……………(yes it is lovely weather, but shhhhhh don’t tell Robby I said that..lol)

I am not getting a huge amount of stamping done lately, but I am doing some.  I am just at a place where I am happy plodding along, it is just so nice to not be rushing around inthe car, or chasing things up, or doing a heap of cooking.  Everything is in moderation lately & it really is very comfortable, who knows how long it will last but I will definitley enjoy while it is here.  So onto today’s card.

This one I opened the catalogue to page #79 to see if I could case something from there & thought, oh I have opened to a page where I don’t have those stamp sets…..NONE of them on either page 78 or 79 (must make a mental note to point this out to Robby lol ). So what could I make , what do I like on this page???????  Then I spotted the little package up the top on page 79, using kraft, old olive, bashful blue & choc chip…..oooo choc chip & kraft & old olive my favourite faithful colours, I could use those & so I did.

inspired-from-pg-79All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Stamp set:  Animal Crakers (this is a first time use…yippee), small pieces

Ink:  Versamark, Staz On Jet Black, Bashful Blue

Cardstock:  Kraft, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue & Wartercolour Paper

Accessories:  Blender Pen & Stampin’ Pastels, Hemp Twine, Word Window Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I coloured the little giraffe in with my Stampin’ Pastels & it really has turned out quite cute & I must remember to do this more often as I haven’t coloured like this for AGES :)

Well anyway I hope you like my case & maybe you could case something out of the catalogue if you are time short or inspirationless at the moment :)

Enjoy your day & till next time………..keep smiling :)

Good Monday afternoon :)

Today I am going to show you another card I care-d from the catalogue.  This is the first time I have used Flight of the Butterfly.  You can find this stamp set on page 82 & I have case-d the card from page 83.  This stamp set is absolutely GORGEOUS, I do love it & I can see I will be using it more often.  Anyway here is the card

case-from-pg83All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Stamp set:  Flight of the Butterfly

Ink:  Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip

Cardstock:  Chocolate Chip,  Kraft, & Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss

Accessories:  Kiwi Kiss sstriped grosgrain ribbon,  Scallop border punch, Triop flower punch, 1 3/8″ Circle punch,  Clip assortment (pg148), Silver Brad, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig

To get the butterfly “spot on” I used the  Stamp-a-ma-jig which I hardly ever use, purely because I’m too lazy (lol) but I have now placed it in a basket on my desk to be used more often :)

I enjoyed making these cards & I hope the recipients enjoy them :)

I am off now to do some more stamping so have a wonderful Monday afternoon & I will catch you tomorrow.

tanyablogsig38

Hiya, well two posts in one day, it must be a miracle….lol :P

Anyway here are the other two pages I made for a workshop I held last weekend.  I really really like the way both of these turned out & the ladies seemed to enjoy them too.

So this first one is made using pretty pastel girly colours…..it is so soft & I think it is going to be lovely with some baby girl photos on it :)

morawa-june-3I have used Pretty in Pink as the base card & I stamped the large flower from Good Friends in Pretty in Pink onto it.  The other colours I have used are, Kraft, Barely Banana, Bashful Blue & Whisper White.  The large bird is stamped in Pretty in Pink with her legs & beak in Barely Banana.  I hae used Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue & Barely Banana striped grosgrain ribbon which I have stapled onto the Whisper White.  The Kraft has some Whisper White ink swiped around the outside of it to soften the edges.  Finally I have used some clear buttons & tied them on with Linen Thread.  I love buttons & the clear buttons Stampin’ Up! sell are top quality & very usable :)

This second page is more of a boy page

morawa-june-4This page uses the very ADORABLE Sock Monkey :D

I love this monkey & thanks to the lovely Makeesha, I think he has turned out really well (I cased from one of Keesh’s cards).  The base for this page is Old Olive with using Riding Hood Red, Summe Sun, Whisper White & again Kraft.  I have stamped the swirly tree leaf image from Trendy Trees onto the Olive & R.H. Red.  The Summer Sun is weathered with the cutter kit & again the Kraft edged was swiped with Whisper White ink.  I have punched out a Curly Label & added to the Whisper White so it can be pulled out to show some journalling.  The sock Monkey is stamped in Choc Chip onto Kraft & Close to Cocoa & then paper pieced together.

I hope you like these pages I have made & shared with you.  I do honestly love scrapbooking, but just don’t do it often enough……must make mental note to try to do more :)

Well I do hope you enjoy your afternoon & check back tomorrow for some more cards.

Take care & till next time………………………Keep smiling :)

tanyablogsig38

Good Saturday morning, I hope you have a fantastic weekend planned.  We are heading into Geraldton over the weekend at some point for haircuts & Robby has to work for most of the weekend, so we aren’t doing much, but I’m sure it will end up being a lovely weekend.  Enough  blab…….

So I have been caught up on Facebook lately, i discovered farm town & am TOTALLY addicted to it   LOL, so if you haven’t been there, DON’T go there, you will get stuck :)

Anyway I did get some stamping done the other day.  I opened the catty for some inspiration & ended up making a few cards, which was nice.  Here I am going to show you one of  the cards I made & then I’ll show you the others over the next couple of days, so stay tuned.

This first one I only changed the greeting & I am very happy with how lovely & simple it is.  I have case-d it from page 84.

case-from-pg-84This card uses the Scribble stamp set aswell as Best Yet (hostess set).  I have stamped in Pink Pirouette onto Pink Pirouette & then mounted that onto Kraft & then finally onto Chocolate Chip.  I have wrapped some wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon around the front & then stamped the greeting  in Choc Chip onto Whisper White & mounted it using dimensionals & then added some styled silver hodgepodge to it.

I really am please with this card.  I would love to know what you think about it, or maybe a card out of the catty you have case-d……

I will have some more for you tomorrow.  Till then………….keep smiling :)
