I am ohhhh soooo late with this post :(
On one of the Stampin’ Up! forums I’m a member of  it had a post asking for some assistance with tutorials to sell to help raise funds to buy a new chair for a very special little boy…. so I decided to help out with writing a tutorial.  I was lucky enough that the ladies at the Helping Hudson crew let me write three tutorials…………..here’s Hudson’s story
Hudson is the 2 ½ year old son of a fellow Aussie Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, but unlike most children his age, he has had a tough little life!  Doctors realised he had an incomplete brain before he was born and as a newborn he was discovered to be legally blind.  Hudson has recently been diagnosed with both Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.  His mobility has been hindered severely by his disabilities, however his family and friends wish nothing more than to give him the chance to get moving on his own. Hudson needs a special Wheelchair/Walker, called a Kid Walker. This device will help get him mobile, allow him to play with his brother and sister, interact with other children his own age and give him independence in his day to day life!
This is where the stamping world really comes into play! There is a HUGE online stamping event taking place, called Helping Hudson -A Wheely Great Cause!  The organisers have been working really hard, securing support, tutorials and donations to get this event underway. There are going to be three weeks of stamping fun for you to join in – it kicks off  today and will run right through until 22 August.
Bundles of tutorials kindly donated by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators the world over, are available for purchase.  Each bundle has 10 fun-filled tutorials for just AU$10!  There are six themes to choose from: Bags & Boxes, Christmas, Kids’ Birthdays, Projects for Men & Boys, Punch Art & Scrapbooking. There’s even a FREE bonus bundle if you buy four or more. WOW how exciting! All proceeds go directly to help Hudson.
The Helping Hudson Crew will also be posting some awesome challenges throughout the three weeks. For a small donation you can join in and be in the running for some FANTASTIC Stampin’Up! Prize packs, kindly donated by Stampin’ Up! Australia (Aussie participants only).  Also keep your eyes peeled for challenges over at Just Add Ink and Stamp A Memory too.
And we would love you to help spread the word too. Check out the ‘Spreading The Word’ page at the site for all you need to know to get the word out to as many people as you can.

Heydo ho how are you ging today?  It’s been nearly a WHOLE MONTH…..my oh my where does the time go?  I had made a promise to myself to get here much more regularly, but it just hasn’t happened :(

We has school holidays, then Robby’s nanna died & we had to have a trip to Perth for her funeral (which was lovely).  While we were in Perth we wanted to take the kids somewhere special so the trip wasn’t all sad.  We went to the Perth Zoo which we haven’t done for TOOOO LONG!!! They had a ball, we did some shopping & just enjoyed time with family.

After we got home from Perth I had to get myself organised because I was heading back down to the big smoke by myself.  I went down for a wonderful stamp camp & then headed over to Sydney to spend a couple of days with some very special ladies :)

I was very kindly invited to stay with Leonie Schroder & Lisa Ryder for a little while & took the opportunity to go over & finally meet some wonderful ladies I’ve been friends with over the internet for a wee while :)
While I was over there I made a couple of wonderful projects which I will endeavour to take pics of soon & show you, but today I’m going to show you this little folder I made AGES ago :)
Here is the front view of it

 & an open view

In the left pocket I have popped 3 cards & on the right is some little Scallop Envelopes with note cards inside, some Hot Chocolate & some die cuts from the big shot in a little cello bag.  I don’t know that I have a close up of the card, but once I finish unpacking my suitcase & find my camera I’ll take some pics & pop in here.

The colours I have used are Soft Suede & Pink Pirouette.

Well I really must dash now, Tom is home with quite a bad cold & I need to take him to Mingenew to see the LOVELY Silver Chain Nurse down there.  :)

I will be back soon, I promise & I do think it’s about time for some blog candy because I keep getting hits even though I’m not posting.    THANKYOU!!!!

Till next time…….keep smiling :)

Today I have a picture of a lovely gift I was sent by the very talented & lovely Liam Pucher

This is a gorgeous little easle drawer, it has some lovely note cards inside.

You should pop on over to Liam’s blog, she has some incredible tutorials over there.

I hope you have a wonderful day today & I’ll chat with you later

Hi there, today I’m going to show you a creation I made a couple of weeks ago.  I saw this gorgeous little bird house a little while ago & thought I’d give it a go, this is what I came up with

I created a card to match with the birdhouse. I really enjoyed playing with Melon Mambo, it is such a fun colour to use.

The colours I’ve co-ordinated with it are Whisper White & Kraft.

Here’s one I’ve created in Baja Breeeze

I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at my creations today.

I’ll catch you again soon

Good arvy to you, I hope your day is going splendidly :)

Today I am going to show you a box of cards I have created today.  I thoroughly enjoyed my bit of time I’ve spent in my craft room….the itchy fingers are enjoying the workout ;)

Here it is

In all honesty I think this is the only creation I’ve been totally happy with using Pacific Point…..hmmmm maybe I should try using it a little more, it makes perfect male cards.

Here is one of the cards that’s inside the box

The base for the card is Whisper White & I’ve used some Good Morning Sunshine dsp, then topped it with a piece of Summer Sun cardstock.  I stamped the Loads of Love image onto Water Colour paper with Staz On ink & coloured it using my Aquapainter & ink.  I mounted this onto a piece of Riding Hood Red & then popped that onto the Summer Sun.

The greeting down the bottom of the card is from the set On Your Birthday, stamped in Staz On.

I made 3 cards with the Riding Hood Ribbon with a red ute & then 3 cards using the Pacific POint ribbon with a blue ute.  I also used some Circle & some Star brads…….

I think this well be given to one of my childrens swimming teachers……I’ve got this week & next to organise another 2 gifts……hmmm what will I make, I must get my thinking cap on.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at what I’ve created today & I hope it might have inspired you to use some colours you don’t normally use?? :D

Till next time (which I’m going to schedule now so keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of days)……Keep Smiling :D

Today I’m going to show you a bag I’ve made to send to a friend.  In the bag I’ve included some cards & a little pillow box with some yummy smelling soap :)

Here is a pic of the whole set together

I’ve made a box in a bag & then I decided to make 6 cards to pop inside it.  Also I used my new Pillow Box Die that goes in my Big Shot & made the cutest little box that is home for a small soap.

Here’s the Pillow Box

& a close up of the flower

Here is a sample of the cards I included in the bag

I had alot of fun making this gift.  I know it’s going to be loved where it is going to :)

I hope you are having a great week, it’s back to being busy here atm, so stamping & blogging is having to take a back seat for a bit, hopefully i”ll be back with a little more later in the week.

Keep smiling :D

Hi, today I am going to show you 2 little albums I made over the weekend.

The lovely Gardenia set a challenge for us on ESAD-SU ( a forum for Australian & New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators) to make a Circle flip up album, you can find the tutorial here on Splitcoast Stampers.  I was determined to give it a go & got out a heap of papers, some cardstock & stamps I thought would all go.  I sa t down to create, cut out the circles &………………………………..nothing else wanted to happen, things just didn’t seem right.  So I sat & hashed a heap of things out before I decided to have a look in the Simply Scrappin Kits I have…….& then it all came together to create this

Now I wasn’t totally happy with it but thought oh it will do…..but I couldn’t finish with that. I HAD to make one I was really happy with & this is what I came up with…………….

With this album I sponged the edges a little & distressed them too.  I’m loving how it turned out!!! YAY :D

I used the Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin kit & it made it so easy to finish this off.  In all honesty I think it took me about 30 minutes in total & then the photo’s…….I must add some more Simply Scrappin Kits to my next order & I think I’ll have to give some cards a go with the leftovers.

So I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday & I’ll be posting a challenge I’m setting for ESAD tomorrow, see you then :)

Howdy Doody……I hope you have had a wonderful weekend !! :)

Today I’m going to show you a gift I made & sent to a special friend of mine Andrea (waving at ya Andrea) :)

I was a little late sending this off because I have been a bit busy, but I did get it in the mail in the end….Anyway I made a combination of 3D & cards for Andrea & she absolutely LOVED them ……makes me smile to know I have put a smile on someone elses dial :D

To start with this is the card I made & then everything matched with it

This is a little pouch I made & popped some small square cards in it

A covered journal

& finally a box in a bag…..which had some Mt Romance hand cream in it

I went looking for the pic of the  lovely gift I said I would show you that I received in the mail from my 2nd Secret Santa & I don’t have it up here yet….so I’ll sort that out this week (promise).  Oops, sorry

In the mean time I have just been looking back through my posts & realised i hadn’t shown you what I made for my kids to give to their teachers last year

Here’s what i made

This is the outside of the box, each of the boxes had a different dsp  & ribbon

This inside of the box included a decorated bauble, some note cards, some jubes & of course some chocies :)

Here’s a close-up of the bauble

I was so tickled pink with these.  All i had to do was stamp some little flowers on the outside & pop some dazzling diamonds on the inside along with some rolls of dsp…how cute :)

& I had a few comments from the teachers how chuffed they were with the baubles & that they would keep them because they were “special” , more warm & fuzzies :D

So that’s what the teachers received.

Tomorrow I’ll show you some baby cards I whipped up , so thill tomorrow…..smile yourself silly :D

Sendig Super Saturday Smiles your way today!!!!!

As I have shown you previously I sent Linda Craven a parcel as part of a Secret Santa swap……well I had my name down twice & this is what I made & sent to Narelle Hodges , she was my second recipient

This is the first real acetate card I have ever made, I was actually quite happy with how it turned out

I made a little box & filled it with goodies…..here’s what it looked like

I wanted to make the most of the card I had cut out of the middle of the box, so I made a tag out of it & then I made a cover to go over a pouch of coffee

I had alot of fun making this gift, as I do with all the gifts I make….I just love sending them off & hearng back that the recipient was surprised & she really needed a bit of a pick-me-up….makes me all goose-bumpy :D

So we have been home from holidays for a week now & we are well & truely into the swing of things back here.  The bread is cooked every morning, washing done, cleaning & vacuuming….(this is a funny one becuase I just HATE cleaning & vacuuming, but I have a new Dyson & I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!, but shhhh don’t tell hubby) :)

The kids have survived their first week back at school & are going to enjoy a nice & easy weekend of doing……..NOTHING!!! :D

Next week I’ll show you the second gift I received for the Secret Santa Swap, so till then…..keep smiling :D
